Riyadh Park has more than 500 brands spread across two floors, and that size is exactly what makes an unplanned visit tiring: you can spend half an hour walking corridors before reaching the one store you came for. This guide orders a shopping trip by floor and category so you can get everything done in one visit with as little walking as possible.
The figures below come from our Riyadh Park directory, which records more than 200 stores and the floor each one is on. A brand can trade at the mall without appearing in the directory yet, so check before building a whole trip around it.
Step 1: Know which floor you need
The rule that saves the most time: most shopping is on the ground floor; most entertainment and food is on the first floor.
| Category | Ground floor | First floor |
|---|---|---|
| Fashion | 86 stores | 6 stores (plus 1 in the basement) |
| Beauty & fragrance | 45 stores | 3 stores |
| Accessories & watches | 19 stores | 1 store |
| Home & hypermarket | 12 stores (incl. Carrefour) | 1 store |
| Kids’ clothing | 1 store | 25 stores |
| Sports | — | 8 stores |
| Electronics & books | 2 stores (incl. Jarir) | 8 stores |
In practice: if your list is fashion, beauty, gifts and groceries from Carrefour, almost your whole trip is on the ground floor. If you are shopping for children, sportswear or electronics, head straight to the first floor — except Jarir Bookstore, which is on the ground floor.
Step 2: Shop from the heaviest task to the lightest
The most common mistake in a large mall is buying bulky items first and carrying them for the rest of the visit. Reverse it:
- Start with anything you need to try on. Clothes and shoes need time and fitting rooms, and fitting rooms are quietest early in a visit. The ground floor has brands such as H&M alongside dozens of other fashion stores — the full list is on fashion stores by floor.
- Then beauty and accessories. They sit on the same floor, including Sephora, Victoria’s Secret and beauty houses such as Chanel, Dior and Clinique, with Pandora and Swarovski for jewellery. See beauty stores and accessories and watches.
- Then the first floor: sports (Nike and Adidas), toys such as LEGO, and electronics and gadgets such as Virgin Megastore and Miniso.
- Carrefour and home goods last. They are the heaviest to carry. Carrefour is on the ground floor, so finish there and wheel the trolley straight out to the car park — see home stores and Carrefour.
Step 3: Pick the right time
- Quietest: Sunday to Wednesday mornings, straight after the mall opens at 10am. Stores are nearly empty, fitting rooms are free and parking is close.
- Busiest: Thursday and Friday evenings, and the nights of major sales seasons.
- Fridays: the mall opens in the morning, but some shops open only after Friday prayer. If your trip is for one particular store, go in the afternoon.
- Sales seasons: Founding Day, Ramadan and Eid, Saudi National Day and White Friday bring most of the year’s discounts.
The full day-by-day schedule, and how restaurant and cinema hours differ from the shops, is on Riyadh Park opening hours.
Step 4: Park near your first store, not the main entrance
Parking is free for more than 2,000 cars across covered underground levels and outdoor lots, with valet parking at the main entrances. But the best space is the one nearest the first store on your list, not the one nearest the main entrance:
- If your trip is on the ground floor, use an entrance that opens onto it and you will not need a lift.
- If it is on the first floor, choose an entrance close to the lifts or escalators.
Directions, gates and parking are covered on Riyadh Park location and parking.
A break halfway through
On a long trip, plan a break between floors. The ground floor has cafes such as Starbucks, Joe’s Café and Ladurée; the first floor has the food court for something quick. Every restaurant and cafe, with its floor, is on the Riyadh Park dining guide.
Quick checklist before you leave home
- Find the stores you want and their floors in the directory.
- Check opening hours, especially on Fridays and during Ramadan.
- Pick the entrance and parking nearest your first store.
- Waiting for a sale? Photograph the price before the season starts so you can compare.
